Carol Santana é artista visual, do Rio de Janeiro, especializada na Criação de Conteúdo Digital, Video Mapping e VJing.

Seu trabalho já esteve presente nas telas do Rock in Rio e em exposições e apresentações em Berlim, Lisboa, Londres, Barcelona, Montreal, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Sucre e Riad. Em Setembro de 2023 foi uma das responsáveis pelas projeções do Noz Stock Festival (Inglaterra) , onde se apresentaram artistas como The Wailers, Fat Freddy's Drop, e Grandmaster Flash. A artista, em 2022 acompanhou o Diogo Nogueira como VJ e criadora de conteúdos e já operou os telões para artistas como Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethânia e Jorge Benjor. A VJ também desenvolveu conteúdos para artistas como Anitta e Ivete Sangalo.

Da Engenharia do Ambiente à formação em Comunicação e ao estudo Master em Design do Entretenimento no European Institute of Design, a VJ inspira-se na natureza e no cruzamento de diferentes culturas e vertentes artísticas, influenciada principalmente pela arte urbana e pela cultura ancestral. Ela conecta o universo palpável ao digital, misturando suas ilustrações, pinturas, fotografias e filmagens as suas criações digitais e as técnicas de videomapping.

Em 2022 participou do programa de residência artística ARTLAB (Argentina) x AMPLIFY D.A.I , promovido pelo conselho britânico, onde desenvolveu a obra audiovisual colaborativa “Portal del Sur” exibida no festival MUTEK em Montreal e Argentina, e também no Oi Futuro, renomado espaço cultural no Rio de Janeiro.

A artista tem uma forte conexão com os povos indígenas, potencializando a força da cultura originária para suas obras, já tendo sido premiadas em festivais e exibida na mostra Industry and Science Museum de Londres (2022), por meio do Amazônia Mapping Festival.

A artista faz parte da equipe do MOV Festival e do coletivo feminino de VJs Multimanas e está no Line up dos principais festivais nacionais e internacionais como:

A VJ também já expôs seus visuais em marcos históricos do Rio de Janeiro como Arcos da Lapa, Museu do MAR, Museu do Amanhã, Edifício A Noite e Comunidade do Santo Amaro. Além de marcar presença no Rock in Rio, esteve responsável pelos telões de festivais de música do cenário atual, como Rock the Mountain, Arvo Festival e Amazônia de Pé.

Carol Santana is a visual artist from Rio de Janeiro, specialized in Digital Content Creation, Video Mapping and VJing.

Her work has already been present on the screens of Rock in Rio and in exhibitions and presentations in Berlin, Lisbon, London, Barcelona, Montreal, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Sucre and Riyadh.

In September 2023, she was one of those responsible for the projections of the Noz Stock Festival (England), where artists such as The Wailers, Fat Freddy's Drop and Grandmaster Flash performed. The artist has also operated the screens for artists such as Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethânia and Jorge Benjor and developed content for Anitta and Diogo Nogueira.

From Environmental Engineering to training in Communication and studying a Master in Entertainment Design at the European Institute of Design, the VJ is inspired by nature and the intersections of different cultures and artistic aspects, mainly influenced by urban art and ancestral culture. She connects the tangible and digital universe, mixing her illustrations, paintings, photographs and footage with her digital creations and videomapping techniques.

In 2022 she participated in the artistic residency program ARTLAB (Argentina) x AMPLIFY D.A.I, promoted by the British council, where she developed the collaborative audiovisual work “Portal del Sur” shown at the MUTEK festival in Montreal and Argentina, and also at Oi Futuro, a renowned cultural space no, Rio de Janeiro.

She has a strong connection with indigenous people, leveraging the strength of the original culture in her works, that has already been awarded at festivals and exhibited at the Industry and Science Museum in London (2022), through the Amazônia Mapping Festival.

The artist is part of the MOV Festival team and the female VJ collective Multimanas and is in the Line up of the main national and international festivals such as:
